Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, constructing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports our organization’s data needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring efficient and accurate data flow.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement data quality and data validation processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data.
• Develop and optimize database models, schemas, and tables to support data analysis and reporting.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, resolving data-related issues and ensuring data availability and integrity.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance data processing efficiency, data quality, and data governance.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and suggest innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong programming skills, preferably in languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
• Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and database management.
• Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
