Job Responsibilities:
- The successful applicant will be working with open system development to design, develop and support applications in the financial services industry.
- They will be required to:
- Develop new software applications or enhance existing software applications to support business requirements.
- Develop functions from specifications; write program test scripts and perform unit tests to cover functional and non-functional requirements.
- Deliver high quality code in accordance with the design, performance testing and debugging of applications.
- Develop automation test scripts for functions.
- Write documents to describe program development, logic, coding and corrections.
- Liaise with technical leads for all progress updates or issues related to the development of a release.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to the security policy.
- Complete any other appropriate ad hoc tasks as directed by a supervisor.
- Judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information System or related field.
- 5 years of working experience in related role.
- Excellent programming, analytical, reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Be a highly productive developer with the curiosity and aptitude to learn and apply technology and business.
- Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
- A good command of spoken and written English.
- Have knowledge of Relational Database and SQL.
- Experience with Java development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Web and Web-services development experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with Agile development methodology such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience in BDD and TDD and Automation Testing with Cucumber, Gherkin, Selenium.
- JSON, XML, AJAX.
- Spring Core, Spring MVC.
- Git, Maven.
- Angular or other Java Script framework.
- JPA, SQL/PL.
